Correspondence, mainly on staff conditions, with correspondents including: John Stanley, Research Associate, International Institute for Strategic Studies, on finding a report cited by AFB in the House of Lords Library; Lord Gardiner, Lord Chancellor, on the problem of Unstarred Questions in the House; Christopher Dobson, Librarian, House of Lords, on AFB's query about work conditions and pay for the Library staff, compared with those in the House of Commons Library, enclosing a note on the House of Lords Library, and co-operation between it and the Commons Library; Lord Shackleton, Leader of the House of Lords, on staff pay for the door-keepers.
Also includes a booklet with a short history of the House of Lords Library.
