Scope and Contents
While many of the papers in this series do derive from AFB's role as first Chairman, then President of the Movement for Colonial Freedom, later Liberation, there is also a lot of material from other campaigns and causes in which he was involved, and numerous files of engagements, invitations etc, as well as personal correspondence (itself mainly relating to campaigning). Subjects particularly well represented include Biafra and Nigeria and Northern Ireland.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
Papers which had been loaned by AFB to the Movement for Colonial Freedom, later Liberation, and deposited by them at the School of Oriental and African Studies. They were added to the main FEBR archive in 1985.
