Correspondence and other papers on the Anti-Apartheid movement, with correspondents including: Raymond Carter on raising a Question in the House of Lords on apartheid in the island of St Helena; [Guthrie] Michael Scott, Africa Bureau, enclosing his paper "The South African El Dorado, Illusions and Realities" and his letter to the Times on the situation in South West Africa; Lord Shackleton [Opposition Leader, House of Lords] on whether to support a memorandum by Geoffrey Bing [not present]; 4th Lord Lytton [earlier Lord Knebworth] on the Movement for Colonial Freedom's proposal to take out a full page advertisement in the Times calling for an arms embargo; [Clifford] Tony Smythe, General Secretary of National Council for Civil Liberties, on sponsorship for the committee raising funds for police protection for the South African cricket tour; Lord Gardiner, Lord Chancellor; Hendrik Luttig, South African Ambassador to Britain; Seán MacBride, Secretary-General of the International Commission of Jurists.
