Scope and Contents
Correspondence on citizenship and immigration of British passport holders, particularly Kenyan Asians, with correspondents including: William Wilson [Member of House of Commons Select Committee on Race Relations and Immigration] (2); Lord Windlesham [Minister of State, Home Office, earlier David Hennessy]; Mary Dines, Secretary of the Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants, on British subjects in East Africa and Aden [Adan, Yemen] awaiting quota vouchers to enter Britain; 2nd Lord Shepherd, Minister of State for Commonwealth Affairs, on the agreement reached with the Indian Government on Kenyan Asians in India; 4th Lord Lytton [earlier Lord Knebworth] on Shepherd's response to a Question raised by AFB in the House of Lords on Kenyan Asians in India, 1968 (3).
Also includes a copy of Hansard with the House of Lords debate where AFB raised a Question on British Asians in East Africa and Aden, May 1970.
