Scope and Contents
Mainly correspondence between HL and Rachel Lauterpacht with Elihu Lauterpacht, on subjects including: Elihu's progress at Harrow; a visit by Robert H Jackson [Justice, United States Supreme Court]; preparations for Elihu's entry to Trinity College, University of Cambridge; Rachel's planned visit to Palestine.
Other correspondents include: Robert H Jackson; Paul de Labilliere, Dean of Westminster. Also includes a draft paper by Jackson for the Nuremberg Tribunal on the proposed definition of war crimes and some later research notes on HL's selection for the British prosecuting team at Nuremberg and an excerpt from a 2001 debate in the House of Lords on war crimes.
