Mainly correspondence between HL and Rachel Lauterpacht with Elihu Lauterpacht, on subjects including: the death of Major-General Orde Wingate; Elihu's school life and preparations for his return to Britain; a meeting of the committee of international lawyers on the future of international organisations and HL's visit to see representatives of the Jewish World Congress in connection with the Inter-Allied Commission on war crimes against the Jews; Rachel's work with refugee children; HL's article on Implied Recognition and his delayed book ["Recognition in International Law"]; editing work on the Year Book of International Law, the proofs for the revised edition of Oppenheim and the "International Bill of the Rights of Man", HL's memorandum for the World Jewish Congress on war crimes against the Jews and the publication of his article on Recognition of States in International Law, by the Yale Law Journal.
