Letter from Lord Randolph Churchill (Benares [India]) to [Lady Randolph Churchill] including: his opinions of Benares which he describes as "the most distinctly Hindoo city I have yet seen"; his opinion of bathing in the Ganges, the cremation of the dead and religious beliefs; a party given by the Maharajah which was attended by "Baboos"; general observations on his visit to India; and his intervention in a conflict between the police and water carriers about which he asks her to inform Wilfrid [Scawen] Blunt.
