Letter from A F Ewing [Private Secretary to the Minister of Works] to N W G Tucker [Assistant Private Secretary to the Chancellor of the Exchequer] commenting on the letter from Oswald Birley about Regent's Park: states that they are anxious to re-open the park but explains that much work needs to be done; states that they are too short of the necessary labour and machinery to undertake the work speedily but hopes that it will be completed by the spring of 1946, and that pedestrians will have the use of the park by next autumn [typescript copy].
