Prime Minister's printed personal minutes, September 1944.Includes texts of minutes from WSC (annotated with additional printed information) to: members of the Cabinet and other government ministers; the Chiefs of Staff; Sir Edward Bridges [Secretary to the War Cabinet]; Major-General Leslie Hollis and Colonel Ian Jacob [Military Assistant Secretaries to the War Cabinet]; General Sir Hastings Ismay [Chief of Staff to the Minister of Defence]; "C" [Major General Sir Stewart Menzies, Head of Britain's Secret Intelligence Service].Subjects covered by the minutes include: post-war reconstruction and prefabricated houses; flying bombs; German strategy and capacity to resist in Western Europe, the East and the Mediterranean; the war against Japan and "Dracula" [proposed Allied attack on the Rangoon area, Burma, later Myanmar]; awards for civilian air personnel; the prospect of WSC travelling to Moscow [Soviet Union]; relations with France over Syria and the Lebanon; food relief for liberated Europe.
