Letter from Charles Masterman [Under Secretary of State, Home Office] (Hotel des Anglais, Nice [France]) to WSC marked "private" objecting to various points included in a memorandum from WSC concerning the Akbar school enquiry including: WSC's stated intention to suspend Captain Beutler before receiving Masterman's report; acceptance of the allegations made by some of the witnesses and by the John Bull newspaper; and comparison of the Reformatory School with Harrow [School, Middlesex]. Signed manuscript.
