Includes: Press cutting for "1938 - World's Year of Fate", published in Answers (29 January 1938), briefly commenting on rearmament, the Spanish Civil War, the threat of Japan, Italy and Germany, and the role of Britain, France and the United States. Cuttings and proofs for "Women in War", published in the February edition of the Strand Magazine, looking at the subject from both an historical perspective, focusing on figures such as Joan of Arc, and examining the contemporary situation around the world, commenting on the morality of women fighting. Copy of Headway magazine for November 1938, including "In Truth and Earnestness", commenting on the European political situation, dictatorships, the role of the League of Nations and Britain; and "The Defence of Freedom and Peace", the text of an address by WSC, broadcast on 16 October 1938 by the National Broadcasting Corporation of the United States, focusing on Czechoslovakia. Article on the Great War [unclear where published, dated 25 August 1938] commenting on the role of Britain and France, the Dardanelles and the Russian Front.
