Paper on the policy and effect of the United States’ neutrality during the Spanish Civil War , c 1950s-1960s
Scope and Contents
AHM left a large amount of unsorted papers from her long academic career, and it is difficult to tell the difference between lecture notes, comments on her students' work and her own research, as they all tend to be jumbled up together, frequently in the same files or notebooks, so they have been left more or less in their original order. Subjects include the Versailles Conference, the history of Germany in the 20th century, particularly the build-up to the Second World War, Gustav Stresemann and the Cold War, and also British constitutional reform. There are also a number of notebooks with AHM's notes on current events.
