Scope and Contents

Includes papers found in the Rowe Music Librarian's office. The file comprises:
- printed programme for a performance of Handel: 'The Messiah', 17 Feb. 1826;
- photocopy of letters from Cedric [E. Iliffe] (former chorister) to 'Michael', 9 Mar. 1984 and to Clive [Pare], 17 Nov. 1967 concerning the manuscript of a boy's opera 'The Burglar', written while Iliffe was a chorister;
- autograph letter signed from Mark Hamburg to T. C. Olpen [?] concerning piano music, 12 Oct. [no year date], with card from 'M' to Margaret [Cranmer, Rowe Music Librarian];
- autograph letter signed from S. Royleston [?] to Dr. A. H. Mann, 10 Apr. 1914 (former ref. Rw 114.26 (20);
- autograph letter signed from C[harles] V[illiers] Stanford to Miss Paget, 12 Feb. 1883;
- typed letter signed from T. T. Rees to Boris Ord, 15 Apr. [1939-45] concerning a production of 'The May Tree';
- autograph letter from J. Corfe to Mr Charles Corfe, [c. 1710 - 1759], urging him to hurry to meet Mr. Handel in London;
- autograph manuscript letter from C. Birch to Mr Tapfield (Professor of Music at Cambridge), 1830, listing songs and lyrics (presumably for performance) for 19 Feb.;
- printed programme for a concert by Cambridge University Musical Club, 4 Mar. 1940.
