Immediate Source of Acquisition
This has been catalogued as a separate item on account of the fact that it is a top copy and therefore (at least notionally) records the existence of a second, once complete, copy. The physical evidence of annotation, folds, etc., suggests, however, that items JVR/1/333 and JVR/1/3/4 were associated as one text from a very early period. It is also noticeable that the quality of typing in JVR/1/333 is very much better-perhaps more professional-than that of JVR/1/3/4. This difference could be due to Joan Robinson's having typed up JVR/1/3/3 from final drafts, and having more or less composed JVR/1/3/4 at the machine. The machine appears to be the same.
