This sub-series comprises an itinerary, travel notes and field notes made during a trip to China. Notebooks have been precisely described, listing individual entries by folio numbers with date, place and subject where these are known. The dates and sources in these entries are derived from comparison of the field notes and travel diaries, as far as is possible.
