Scope and Contents
This series comprises reviews taken from a variety of periodicals, both foreign and domestic. The author's signature, or initials, are given in parentheses where they appear in the original review. Reviews with no such addition are anonymous in the original.
The reviews are arranged, as far as possible, chronologically, under the title of the work to which they refer. Undated newspaper-cuttings come first, and general dates come at the beginning of the period they refer to; e.g., 'Autumn 1942' comes before Sept. 1942, 'April-June 1942' at the beginning of April.
