Scope and Contents
The file contains papers relating to Arthur Tilley and JEN's part in the 'Robbie Ross affair', in which Ross was ducked in King's College fountain by a group of students at the instigation of Tilley, and the subsequent debate about College discipline, comprising:-

- 5 autograph letters signed from Oscar Browning to JEN, 6 May - 16 July 1889;
- 1 autograph letter signed from 'H.A.B.' to JEN, 20 May 1889;
- 1 autograph letter signed from Thomas Clarkson to JEN, 16 May 1889;
- 1 autograph letter signed from W. M. Harris to JEN, 16 May 1889;
- 2 autograph letters signed from H. N. Mozley to JEN, 16 May and 7 Dec. 1889;
- 2 autograph letters signed from George Prothero to JEN, 1 and 3 May 1889;
- printed letter by O. Browning for submission to King's College Governing Body protesting against the suggested removal of JEN from the office of Senior Dean, 22 Nov. 1889;
- 2 draft motions by JEN for submission to King's College Congregation, 18 May 1889, and autograph manuscript notes.
