Lytton Strachey stands next to him (in the middle of the group), holding a walking stick in his hands, which are resting on the top railing of the bridge. He looks to the right at Pierre Lancel, who rests his left elbow and right foot on the railings of the bridge. According to Frances Partridge's index, this image was taken at Tidmarsh.
