Choir photographs, 1984
Scope and Contents
Black and white contact sheet, negative 396383, showing the choir wearing cassocks and surplices in the stalls in Chapel, and in two rows as if processing up the chapel aisle, led by the candle-bearers and cross-bearer with the organ in the background. Some of the shots into the stalls seem to have been taken from the organ loft.
Also present are 7 black and white prints from these contact sheets, labelled ‘39638311’, ‘39638311A’, ‘39638313’, ‘39638321’, ‘39638325’, ‘39638326’, ‘39638332’. All are approximately 6.5” x 8.5” except 39638311A and 39638321 which are approximately 8”x10” and which have stickers on the back indicating they were published in KCCB as images 2 and 5 (of plate 32). Those two also have processing stamps on the back ’89 Cambridge News 882L 96/07/22 12-02’ and ‘86 Cambridge News 879L 96/07/22 11-54’ respectively.
Also filed here are two approximately 6” x 8” colour prints, both annotated ‘King’s College Choir / Director of Music: / Stephen Cleobury / 1984’. They appear to have been taken at the same time as those in this contact sheet.
