Item
Reference Code: GBR/3437/MCNE/3/1/5/1
Scope and Contents
Boëthius wrote on v. in pencil, '4a. The Fig-Tree-Tholos. (This foto is not all right but it shows the poros and conglomerate in the doorway.)' He sketched a diagram in pencil of the position of these stone elements in the doorway.
The ‘Fig-tree tholos’ was Boëthius’ name for this tomb, presumably inspired by the fig tree growing out of the doorway.
