Francis discusses with Guthrie a draft of Gilbert Murray's obituary of FMC written for publication in the Proceedings of the British Academy.
On a domestic note, Francis passes on a message from 'Nanny' that Guthrie has left his white macintosh in the hall at Conduit House, as well as some books on the floor which are being chewed by mice.
