Scope and Contents He had received a letter from Kit (a friend who had later been killed in an avalanche the same day) which was a shock. He is heavily involved in the wedding plans for the reception at Peterhouse on 10 June, as Adele can't give orders to the College kitchens. He describes their new home in Conduit Head, a wing of the main house belonging to Francis and Frances Cornford, with a garden which used to be the orchard part of the Cornfords' garden. Scope and Contents This correspondence all orienates around the person of Guthrie, to whom Francis initially wrote to a close family friend, mutually affected by the loss of Francis, and then in Guthrie's role as literary executor of FMC's published and unpublished works. After the death of Frances in 1960, Guthrie continued in his role as literary executor to both FMC and FCC. In this capacity the Cornford's eldest surviving son Christopher also coresponded with Guthrie, as did briefly the yongest son, Hugh....
