Negative album, navy blue waxed cloth cover with press stud fastening to secure front flap, bound on short left edge. Cover embossed in gold print, 'Kodak Negative Album'. H. 15.7 x W. 22 cm. 100 glassine sleeves with numbers 1 to 100 printed sequentially in black ink.
Inscribed on interior of front board in pencil, 'A. J. B. W. Bk 1'. 2 leaves of printed index at the front, titles of negatives written in by hand in pencil by AJBW.
Written by hand in black ink on the top left of the majority of sleeves, are a series of numbers prefaced by 'HS', starting at HS. 2801 to HS. 2828, of which all 28 are empty of negatives.
From sleeve 29 the negatives continue in sequential order but only some of the sleeves are labelled with HS numbers, although when an HS number is given, it does correspond exactly with the numer of the sleeve itself.
Sleeves 37 to 42 inclusive are empty, sleeve 43 holds a negative, sleeves 44 to 48 are empty.
Sleeves 49 to 55 hold negatives, sleeves 56 and 57 are empty, followed by 2 negatives in sleeve 58, 59 to 62 are empty, 63 to 67 hold negatives, 68 and 69 are empty, 70 to 71 hold negatives, 72 to 74 are empty, 75 has a negative, 76 to 79 are empty, sleeve 80 holds 2 negatives, sleeve 80 hold a negative, sleeve 82 holds 5 negatives.
Sleeves 83 to 100 inclusive were never filled with negatives as the Index stops at Sleeve 82, that one sleeve, containing as indexed by AJBW, five negatives of different views of the British School at Athens.
