1 manuscript letter signed from Pitt to Lord Auckland, 1791-12-14
Scope and Contents
The letter, sent from Downing Street [London], comments on the "Rule for Ireland" and proposes to send Lord Auckland some papers providing information on the situation which Pitt requests are returned to him promptly. Pitt seeks to have a conversation with Lord Auckland on the subject and go through Lord Auckland's paper on the "Dutch Business". Pitt also comments on the laws affecting Catholics "in the two countries'" A manuscript note on the reverse in another hand has become unreadable due to paper damage (possibly where the letter was previously stuck onto another page).
