Scope and Contents
Correspondence with Trinity College regarding the lease of some of their playing fields which are adjacent to those of St. Catharine's, Boat Club correspondence, refurbishment work on the pavilion, playing field boundaries, removal of garages, drainage, responsibility for the extension lane at the end of King's Rod, hot water system in the pavilion, roadway resurfacing and repairs (South Green Road), history of the playing fields, access across the playing field by local residents, Cambridge Study Area review of Development Plan, sharing sports facilities with Wolfson College and the routing of a new water main at Granchester Meadows.
Also includes a Block Plan of St. Catharine's College Sports Ground by the University of Cambridge Estate Management Advisory Service, drawing no. 3445 which show when parts of the sports ground and South Green Road were purchased by the College; copies of playing field title deeds; answers to a City Council questionnaire on outdoor recreational facilities (1971); and a draft report on open space and recreation in Cambridge prepared by the planning officer (1972).
