Biographical / Historical

As part of the University's 800th celebrations, a new window for the College Chapel was commissioned. The window is on the North side, second from the West end, opposite the War Memorial Window. It was installed in Summer 2012 and unveiled officially at a service on 14 October 2012. It has been kindly funded by Richard Burston, in memory of his father Neville.

When the new window was put in during August and September 2012 the pains of old clear glass were moved to the window next to it. This included the casements/openers. The packing for these casements was found to be made of newspaper dated 13 May 1962. It is therefore believed that the previous window had been installed or had work done to it in 1962.
