Scope and Contents
This series includes published pamphlets about equipment purchased; equipment manuals, inventories and instructions; correspondence on condition of equipment and details of problems; reports on the boats [Salterella,Collenia]. Also including photographs and sketches/plans of the boats.

Conditions Governing Access
The papers are open for consultation by researchers using Sedgwick Museum of Earth Sciences. The Collections Research Centre [West Cambridge] is open from Monday to Friday, 10:00-13:00 and 14:00-17:00. A prior appointment made at least two weeks in advance, and two forms of identification are required.
Biographical / Historical
Equipment used by expedition teams included Atco Boatimpeller (outboard motor boat engine), motor boats [Saltarella & Collenia, Lingulella, and Arctoceras]; radio, echo-sounders, outboards; drilling equipment; skidoos; and various camping items such as tents, sledges, skis, and crampons Members of the expedition would also have had access to measuring equipment, binoculars, and cameras.
