Extracts from letters written by his mother Jemmima Aimee Allan, wife of Alexander Allan, to her sisters in Edinburgh, from India, 1879-84. 153 pp. Xerox. Alexander Allan was proprietor of Glenmore & Pillor Coffee Estates, Coonoor, South India.
The letters of Mrs. Allan describe the social life and domestic incidents of daily life in an English home in India at the time.
