Scope and Contents This is a blue and white crackle pattern Chinese cylindrical vase with 1.5cm bronze effect banding under the lip of the mouth and at the base. The illustrations in blue pigment depict two men bowing to each other by a tree. On the underside is an (undeciphered) engraved maker's mark in a small brown square. Little information is available about it, but this ceramic and others in the same style appear to have been made in Nanjing from the early to mid 20th century, making it likely that they...
