This lecture was given by Joseph Needham to the Friends of UNESCO and the Council for Education in World Citizenship in the House of Commons, London on 22 June 1987. The file contains correspondence (including photocopies of Julian Huxley's letters to Joseph Needham 1932-1955 held in Cambridge University Library), administrative papers, typescript drafts and a final version of Joseph Needham’s lecture.
