This file contains correspondence, administrative papers, a handwritten draft and typescript copy of Joseph Needham's speech given at the degree ceremony and his handwritten itinerary. It includes 2 colour photographs taken during the ceremony and a group showing Janet Baker, James Baldwin, Joseph Needham, Lionel Rosen, Stanley Dennison (Vice-Chancellor) and Lord Cohen (Chancellor).
