Red seal ink in a round ceramic container decorated with a picture of blue dragon, 2007
Scope and Contents
This is a product of a well-known shop based in Hangzhou and with branches elsewhere, Xiling Seal Club 西泠印社. The ink container is held in a box covered in gold, red and black patterned fabric with dragons. The lid has a painted picture of a full-length blue dragon. The base has a Qianlong era 乾隆 seal of manufacture in the centre. The box also contains a plastic ink spatula, a certificate of authenticity, and an information leaflet written in Chinese.
