The plastic model is mounted on a metal stand. The cardboard box has the following inscription:

“ACUPUNCTURE MODEL 針灸模型

TO: DR JOSEPH NEEDHAM CAIUS COLLEGE CAMBRIDGE ENGLAND

DR NEEDHAM DR LU 北京飯店 324, 326.

As the box was damaged, only the lid with the description was preserved.
