These were housed in a metal drawer labelled 'Editions Used (CUL)'. The cards are headed by a further explanation 'Titles Quoted But Text Not Seen, Plus Other Entries For One Reason Or Another'. Some of these cards contain valuable information about what editions are available at Cambridge University Library'.
Also in this archive box is a card glossary of Chinese mathematical terms; list of abbreviations of Chinese texts; and notes on a 'card list of Chem substances and numerals'.

The bibliographic index cards have been re-housed in a conservation-grade archive box. The metal index card cabinet formerly containing SCC1/2/5/7 has been kept in the Needham Research Institute as an example.
