In this letter (written in Chinese) Ma Hong responds to Joseph Needham’s letter of 30 March 1984, welcoming him to visit him in Beijing the coming autumn (September) for the International Conference on the History of Chinese Science, and informing him that the Chinese Academy of Sciences will arrange his visits to Xi’an, Xiamen, Quanzhou, Guangxi and other places.
