 Item
Reference Code: GBR/1928/NRI/NRI2/8/13/2/13

Scope and Contents

This is a large flared teacup with multicoloured flowers all around the exterior and a white interior. The paint is chipping off, suggesting that the colours were applied onto the surface and not fired to bond with the porcelain. The base of the teacup has the reign mark Da Qing Guangxu nian zhi 大清光緒年製 (Made in the Great Qing Guangxu era) [1875-1908]. A section of the cup has completely chipped off and has been repaired with glue.
