Scope and Contents

This is a Chinese carved tray inlaid with mother-of-pearl, depicting four immortals travelling in the mountains. The rim is decorated with butterflies, flowers, vines, and fret patterns. The caligraphy in the middle reads: 巢徑忽來岩下客,詞中仙慈閒適見. Some of the mother-of-pearl inlay has fallen out.
