Joseph Needham gave a lecture at Uppsala University in connection with the 500th anniversary and received an honorary degree during his visit with Dorothy Needham and Lu Gwei-Djen 28-30 Sep. 1977. The file contains correspondence and administrative papers. The tube contains two copies of the degree, one with a seal enclosed in a wooden box.
