This model comprises a board with a circle of cardboard rotating on a pin with longer pins in the side at 1cm distances, a disk with the words ‘Tung Fan,’ ‘Ur Mi,’ ‘Ur Ma’ and Chinese characters written in pencil along the edge and paper circles with moving parts and sections cut through. Also included is an off-print of ‘Chinese Astronomical Clockwork’ by Joseph Needham, Wang Ling and Derek J. Price (Nature, Vol. 177, pp.600-602, 31 March 1956).
