Exhibition catalogue of 50 b/w photographic portraits by Julia Hedgecoe. [The exhibition was mounted at the National Portrait Gallery Dec 1998 - May 1999 to mark the 50th anniversary of the admission of women to Cambridge degrees. New Hall women included are: Jocelyn Bell Burnell (NH 1965 - first woman physics professor in the UK at the Open University, and co-discoverer of pulsars); Haruko Fukuda (NH 1965, member of the governing council of the Nikko Research Center); Jane Heal, FBA (NH 1964, reader in philosophy, St John's College); Joanna MacGregor (NH 1978, pianist and honorary fellow of the Royal Academy of Music); Sarah Nichols (NH 1982, Marketing and Information Services Manager, Cambridge University Press).]
