Scope and Contents
DVD containing 'New Hall Today', showing students talking re positive experiences of New Hall; also 'New Hall 50 Years' (edited by Kathy Gyngell and presented by Claudia Winkleman (New Hall 1990)), a commemorative film, about 30 minutes long, compiled largely from excerpts from video tapes of interviews with older academic and staff members of New Hall [see NHPH 10/1/1-20] and also including black and white photographs from the 1950s and contemporary footage of the building of New Hall in the 1960s, alongside new photography. The emphasis of the film is on the character and achievement of New Hall's Founder President, Dame Rosemary Murray. The inspiration for New Hall 50 Years came from Alison Wilson, New Hall Librarian. Part of the funding for the film came from EEMLAC [East of England Museums, Libraries and Archives Council. New Hall 50 Years is also listed as both video and DVD at NHPH 10/1/21.
