Environment on the Edge, 2004 - 2009
Scope and Contents
A lecture series launched in November 2004, this was the initiative of Anne Lonsdale and Bernie Bulkin [former Chief Scientist of BP, who returned to Cambridge in 2003]. The collaborating partners were the United Nations Environment Programme / World Conservation Monitoring Centre (UNEP-WCMC), New Hall, St Edmund's College and the British Antarctic Survey, with sponsorship from BP which financed the first four years. It established a pattern of six annual lectures, two per term, generally held at Buckingham House, New Hall. The talks are followed by a drinks reception, after which there is a dinner / debate for about 25 invited guests.
The 27 files relating to individual lectures listed below generally contain the following: flyers, advertisements, invitations, press releases, guest lists, menus, and correspondence.
