There is little of more than general interest in this file: of her own admission Josephine says, in a letter of 10 November, that recent life has been so 'excrutiatingly domestic, not even parochial - I don't know whether even the gentle Cowper could make a letter of it'. On 11 December she mentions that she has attended her last committee meeting at Askham Prison.
