Includes some notes and minutes from the Portrait Committee regarding the President's portrait and applications to various agencies for the funding of the portrait. A small part of the file relates to discussions regarding Anne Lonsdale's portrait by Maggi Hambling.

Biographical / Historical
A charcoal on paper portrait by Maggi Hambling was purchased by the Fellows of New Hall to mark the Presidency of Dr Valerie Pearl 1981-1995. In 2002, a portrait of Mrs Anne Lonsdale by Maggi Hambling (oil on canvas) was donated to mark her Presidency, 1996-2008.
