The Centre is administered separately from New Hall but a number of relevant papers collected by various New Hall personnel have been gathered together under this heading for ease of reference. See also NHAR 2/8/5 for the Bursar's papers relating to the building of the Centre.

Biographical / Historical
In February 1994, an agreement was signed between the Kaetsu Educational Foundation and New Hall. The agreement allowed for the construction of the Kaetsu Educational & Cultural Centre within the grounds of New Hall. The Centre was officially opened in 1996: it is designed for study groups and conferences and offers conference facilities together with special facilities for the introduction of Japanese culture.
