RO Greenwich: Drawings of the Northumberland Telescope and Dome, c.1843
A set of drawings in pencil [by George Airy] - original drawings for the plates used in Airy's book, Account of the Northumberland Equatoreal and Dome, attached to the Cambridge Observatory, 1843/4'. Each is marked with a sheet number (1-9, 11-19) and bears figure and plate numbers, along with occasional notes to the engraver. The pencil line is very faint in places. Sheet 9 (Plate 8) shows a colour exterior view of the dome [RGO 101/2/3/9].
