Letters filed in envelopes or packets, each with a list by Sedgwick, sometimes written on the outside of the envelope. They were arranged chronologically, each envelope covering anything from two to eighteen months. They were labelled A-Z and AA-II, but unfortunately not in chronological order. They have now (1997) been boxed in catalogue order, for ease of finding. The second list below gives the chronological order of the packets: 1850 Jun-Dec) 1851 Jan-Dec) II Q 1852 Jan-Dec) 1853...
