Volume I, No. 1 30 March 1867 - No. 40, 28 December 1867. Includes an index at the front of the volume, which has been annotated to indicate articles written by Lord Acton. The Chronicle was established in 1867 as a weekly newspaper under the direction of T.F. Wetherell. Sir Rowland Blennerhassett provided the funds, with the support of Sir John Dalberg (later Lord Acton).

No. 351, 17 December 1869 - No. 363, 29 December 1869; No. 2, 2 January 1870 - No. 203, 22 July 1870 (in one bound volume). Together with loose issues of 'Allgemeine Zeitung' for 1872 (2 Feb. - 22 Mar. 1872) and loose issues of 'Suddeutscher Telegraph' (No.183, 3 August 1872 - No.185, 6 August 1872). Also included as inserts are two black-and-white portrait photographs, possibly of Charlotte Lady Blennerhassett.
