Copy of the first edition of Memoirs of William Paley, interleaved and annotated in pen and pencil with supplementary information from several sources, including 'F' [William Frend], 'Quarterly Review' and 'Lambert'. Loose letters and papers: copy letters, Meadley to Earl Grey, and reply, 1818, on toleration for Roman Catholics and Dissenters; Francis Huish to Trevilian, c.1808; S. Hodgson to Meadley, 1809; J.K. Lewis to Miss Meadley, undated, used by Meadley for drafts of his memoir; and Thomas Burgess, Bishop of Salisbury to -, 1829, on Roman Catholic emancipation, and 1831, on St. Paul's visit to Spain.
