D., 'Fur Eliensis translated', c. 1700; William Lewis, and others, elegies for the duke of Buckingham, 17th cent.; Thomas Adams, 'Epgrams'; verses connected with the visit of Charles I to Cambridge University, 1632 (?); 'Hildebertus Cenomanensis de Confessione S. Trinitatis Hymnus', 17th cent.; 'Would you send Kate to Portugal', c. 1690; 'You worthy patriots go on', c. 1690; John Strype, compositions in prose and verse, 1659-60; Latin translation of Milton's 'Lycidas', 18th cent.; John Wilmot, earl of Rochester, 'Horace's tenth satire of the first Book imitated', 18th cent.; quire of 8 leaves (the sixth missing) taken from a book of poems, including 'Dismas and Jesmas, with weather prognostications, c. 1500; 'Matt's Peace, or the Downfall of Trade', c. 1700; 'The Truth at Last', 18th cent.; William Salter, verses in honour of Simon Patrick, bishop of Ely, c. 1680. Immediate Source of Acquisition

Belonged to Samuel Knight DD, prebend of Ely and rector of Bluntisham, Hunts. After Knight's death in 1746, the MS. descended to John Percy Baumgartner of Milton, Cambs., who presented it to the Library in 1861.
